Live Example 1 - Semiconductors

In order to meet production goals by the end of the year, our client requested a rush order on crucial semiconductors produced in a factory in the Taiwanese countryside. AES was able to coordinate ground and air logistics to deliver the precious cargo direct from the Taiwanese factory to OPO airport in less than 20 hours from the initial inquiry. Only via OBC was the client able to meet their time-critical production goal for the year.

Due to supply chain issues, our client was running crucially low on a cheap but nonetheless essential part to complete production on a line of vehicles in time to fulfill the order of their clients. Again AES stepped in to scramble multiple trucks to rush these pipes to the airport from a Chinese factory over 350Km away. There the trucks were met on the ground by the AES operations team and multiple couriers who then oversaw the customs and handling of the shipment onto the plane. The shipment was then flown along with the couriers and an AES operations manager to Chicago where it was successfully delivered to the client. All of this was completed within 24 hours of order confirmation.

Not all emergencies are on the production line. This client had a fashion show halfway across the world in which a critical centerpiece would not be ready until a day before showtime. This type of delivery would be physically impossible using standard shipping options. AES was able to utilize our extensive courier network to immediately pick up the garment from the office in Milan, Italy, fly it to Tokyo, Japan and hand-deliver it to the PIC where it was proudly adorned at the fashion show on the same exact day. Total time from request to delivery was less than 16 hours.

As medical technology advances, so does the subsequent demand and use of stem cells to save lives. A client in Los Angeles, California developed a dire need for new stem cells, but was unable to secure a steady supply as demand had rapidly increased worldwide. Some became available from suppliers in Japan, but these cells required specialized cold-chain storage and rapid delivery in order to stay viable during transit. This is where AES stepped in to carry the cells personally onboard the aircraft and ensure cold chain compliance, procedure, and protection of these vital cells. The stem cells were taken on a direct flight and hand-delivered to the hospital in less than 20 hours.
